Warehousing
For cargo storage in Antwerp there is sufficient covered and open-air storage space available.
The port offers over 3 million m5 (almost 4 million square yards) of public and private warehousing (more than twice that of competitor Rotterdam). Port companies also invested in specialized warehouses and storage areas (coffee, beverages, sugar, fruit, refrigerated goods, tobacco, pharmaceutical products, hazardous goods, forest products, cars and so on).
Interfreight Antwerp subcontracts a bonded warehouse in the port. This give us the advantage to keep full controle over our shipments. Goods are handled, cleared and verified within our own appointed facilities. Upon request the goods can be re-packed or re-marked.
Skilled workers guarantee smooth cargo handling such as stripping and stuffing containers.
We handle general and dangerous cargo in our warehouse. For specialised goods (e.g. temperature controlled goods) we call on sub-contractors.
